BY RESERVING OUR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING SERVICE TERMS, POLICIES, LIMITATIONS, RATES AND AUTOMATIC INVOICING OF ADDITIONAL FEES

Pricing and policies are subject to change at any time before your date is confirmed as reserved via email. You will be sent a confirmation email after you sign your contract and send in your non-refundable deposit also known as your first payment in the payment schedule. All payments made toward your booking are non-refundable, but a portion may be available to use as credit in the event you need to cancel or postpone your booking.
All services require additional tax and gratuity.
All booking types (Wedding, Special Event, Photoshoot) require a non-refundable deposit and signed contract. Your booking must be paid in full BEFORE your event date. Otherwise, you will incur a late fee of 10% of the remaining balance.

All payments made, leading up to your booking, are non-refundable as well, but a portion can be used towards credit if you need to postpone your date. Although deposits are non-refundable, we do offer S.T.G Beauty credit for part of the amount paid after the deposit for rescheduled services. See our cancellation policy for details.
You have the option to setup your payment plan on auto pay so you don't have to think about your payments being made on time. This is our recommended option, and our most popular selection by clients.
We are not able to cancel an auto pay plan that you setup. But if you'd like to cancel or reschedule the booking altogether, we will edit your payment plan to a $0 balance to prevent any auto pay charges from continuing.
If a balance remains on your account after your services have been rendered, you will incur a 10% late fee, and your account will be sent to collections after 30 days of non-payment.
Our online form asks you to determine a preferred finish time. This 'Finish Time' is the time we'll schedule to have your services completed, and work backwards from there to determine your booking start time.
If your venue is limiting your hair and makeup timeframe, let us know
as soon as you know so that we can assign more stylists to your
booking to reduce the timing within the needed timeframe. This ensures
no service is rushed and your look is just right. Additional fees
apply.
The "START TIME" we allocate is the time you and
your party should be in the room, ready to receive services. Our team
arrives shortly before this time (approximately 5-10 min before) to
setup for a prompt start at the "START TIME".
For
group bookings, you will be required to send in everyone's names in
your party along with the types of services they've reserved in order
to put together a detailed beauty schedule. This schedule allows your
party to know when each person is starting their service, the types of
service, and when they'll finish their service. This allows for
optimal planning for a swift "getting ready experience".
The
"FINISH TIME" is calculated to be about 30 minutes BEFORE the finish
time you listed on your initial intake form. It is important that you
do not plan for a tight schedule to allow for unexpected delays such
as someone in your party having long, thick hair that requires extra
time to style in their desired look. If you do have someone with
thick, dense, or long hair, and they want a down style, please let us
know in advance to allocate sufficient time. Additional fees
apply.
Groups are treated with extra care. Careful planning and coordination
is done in the background to ensure a stress-free experience. Parties
of 5 or more receive a 10% discount.
We require that you
send in the names of those in your group along with the types of
services they have reserved in order to allow us to put together your
detailed beauty schedule. This schedule allows you and your party to
know when each person starts and finishes their services to help with
planning your day meticulously.
To ensure you
receive top notch service, we may designate additional stylists to
assist with parties of 5 or more. The use of additional stylists will
benefit you by shortening your total 'getting ready' time, and are
assigned at our discretion, when available. You are responsible for
ensuring each of your stylists has a proper "workstation" available to
them (standard sized table or desk and chair with close outlet
access). On average, we book 4 clients per stylist. Your total service
time may vary. Here is an example of what you can expect if your party
includes 5 or more services. You are responsible for the travel fee,
parking fee and toll fee for each stylist, when applicable. See travel
fee policy below.
Our satisfaction guarantee consists of our willingness to enhance each client's natural beauty with makeup and hair services.
We can work with the hair you have or add in clip-in extensions provided by the client to ensure a good match of hair color. We cannot offer services that go beyond the abilities of the hair (ie: thin hair to look fuller at the scalp, short hair to look naturally longer, or roots to be covered). We guarantee our work will photograph well from all angles, and hold up for the remainder of the day.
We apply high-end makeup and color correct as needed to last all day. We cannot control or change the natural texture of the skin (ie: wrinkles, fine lines, large pores, acne scarring, acne or skin bumps). Makeup looks best at a distance rather than up close in a magnifying mirror. We guarantee our work will photograph well from all angles, and hold up for the remainder of the day.
Once services are completed, each person receiving services has the opportunity to look at their results in a wall mirror and handheld mirror to see from all angles and decide if they want anything changed or adjusted. If they do, their team will make the changes requested. This is part of our satisfaction guarantee fulfillment.
We do a thorough consultation beforehand to ensure what look is desired (ie: natural colors, contouring, smokey eye, dark red lip, updo, half up style or down styling, etc.). We cannot undo dark colors so we ask that you start off natural and deepen as needed if you're unsure (our stylist will suggest this also). We also cannot undo an updo and convert it into a down style because the curling would need to be washed out and redone (our stylist will give examples of the updo before starting to ensure that is what is desired).
Only small adjustments or changes are allotted in our schedule as part of our satisfaction guarantee.
If there is someone in the group that has never had any makeup or hair professionally done, they may not like what we do because they are already used to their own look. So it is imperative that they know what to expect, as outlined here in detail. No refunds or partial refunds are offered for services rendered.
If makeup smears from rain, crying, wiping or eating, this is not the fault of the makeup artist. If hair falls from pins being removed or hair being adjusted after the stylist leaves, this is not the fault of the hairstylist. If curls naturally do not hold well, and it is humid or raining, the stylist will suggest an updo—but if the client wants it down and curled, the style will not hold, no matter how we prep or spray to hold.
Please defer to your stylist's suggestions for the best experience possible.
It's important to note that your team blocks their schedule for your
particular booking, leaving them unable to take on other bookings.
Therefore, if you change the count of services and/ or types of
services, there may be a fee incurred depending on when you let us
know:
The number of reserved services may be subtracted
up until 15 days before the date of service, to avoid any service
cancellation fees. On day 15 before your appointment, all booked
services will be locked in, and any subtraction of these services will
result in a service cancellation fee that is calculated as a 50%
charge of the price for each service subtracted along with its
corresponding fees (ie: cancelling an attendant that was reserved for
hair and makeup services along with airbrush, and travel fee). Any
subtraction of services within 48 hours of your appointment will
result in a 100% charge of the price for each service subtracted along
with all corresponding fees. No refunds are given. Same-day
cancellations will not receive a refund, nor a credit under any
circumstances.
Trials are available upon request for weddings, special events or
photoshoots and are available to anyone (not only brides).
A
trial ensure's you get to meet your assigned stylist, discuss the
hair/ makeup look your prefer in detail, and try the look.
Your
team will take pictures and videos of your look and we'll send over
these images for your review. Looking at your style from all angles
helps you decide if you want any changes or adjustments to the looks
provided.
If you do feel you want to change
anything, you'll have the opportunity to let your stylist know when
they start your service on the date of your event.
If
you prefer to change the length of your hair, or add in extensions
(clip-ins provided by the client), let us know via text to allow your
stylist to determine if any timing changes are necessary. This allows
for no delays during services on event day.
As
mobile professionals, our team provides all services (trial included)
on-location, meaning we come to you. If you'd like to have your trial
but do not want us coming to your home, consider asking a friend or
relative to host your trial as this could make it a fun experience
that allows those that know you best to give feedback. If you do not
have a location to host your trial, we can offer a co-working space
office rental for your trial, for an additional fee (the cost of the
space).
We do not offer a traditional salon space
or location.
We accept credit, debit or ACH payments. No cash is accepted toward your booking total, except for gratuity. All services require a 6% tax. Fees and gratuity are not charged a tax.
Payments should be made in one transaction only. Most clients collect funds from their group, and charge the total to one card to fulfill this one transaction policy.
If there is a balance on your account after your service date, a late fee of 10% of the total remaining balance will be added. This late fee is automatically added to your invoice after 24hours of non-payment. After 30 days from your service date your account will be sent to collections.
Gratuity is added automatically to all booking requests at 25%. The 25% is calculated based on services only, not for fees.
There are a few people involved in each booking from admin, to stylists and on-call staff. Each person involved with the booking's success is given a portion of the gratuity you pay. Your assigned stylist receives the bulk of your gratuity at 20% over of their earnings.
If you feel your stylist did an excellent job, and you'd like to give them additional gratuity, you may do so by giving them extra cash on the day of your booking. Post service, if you'd like to tip additionally, you can send your tip to our Venmo account @STGbeauty for them to receive the full tip.
You are able to request the gratuity be removed from your proposal if you want to tip them directly. It is not recommended as doing so may prevent each stylist from receiving their exact 20% gratuity calculation (for example, if a hairstylist does the bride and 3 people, and the makeup artist does 3 people, and each get $60 cash, the hairstylist gets tipped less than the makeup artist).
Also, dealing with cash on a big day is a nuisance sometimes with having someone be in charge of it, and a lot of moving parts being involved, it's a hiccup of sorts sometimes. But we are grateful either way.
Applies to those that have long, thick, ethnic, curly and/ or coarse hair that requires extra time and/or product use to style as desired. If you need clip-in extensions applied and styled, this will add to your total service time and product use, which will incur an extra hair fee as outlined above. Rate varies from $80-$120, at the discretion of the stylist performing hair services. If you do not disclose that someone in your party has this type of hair, it will cause a delay in your booking, and you will still be charged a fee. Both are inconvenient for you, so we prefer to know ahead of time.
Clip-in or tape-in extensions are to be provided by the client receiving the service. This add-on fee is $80 and includes stylist securing the extensions discreetly, then styling the hair to blend with ones natural hair.
A $10 fee applies to those that do not follow our hair prep instructions, and have wet or damp hair at the start of their service that is not a blow-dry. The stylist will need to first rough dry the hair before they can begin the styling service, which in turn delays the schedule, and forces them to catch-up on time by reasonable means necessary. This fee does not apply to those receiving a blow-dry service. To avoid this fee, wash your hair and rough dry your hair completely before your stylists' arrival.
A strip lash application is offered at no additional charge. Your stylist will have a variety of lashes to choose from. If you prefer individual clusters of lashes, this requires extra time, and will require an additional fee that varies based on intensity desired from $30-$50. Both options are meant for only 24 hour wear. If you're looking true individual eyelash extensions that last 1 month and require touch-up appointments to remain tidy and not damage your natural lashes, this is booked separately with our partner studio at www.stglashstudio.com
This option allows our makeup artist to apply your foundation makeup with the airbrush technique as a sealer for a longer wearing makeup application and smooth finish. Airbrush offers a fine mist application for a lightweight feel and more sweat and water-resistance than traditional application. It is the best option for those that don't normally wear much makeup as it is super lightweight. This upgrade may not be available for same-day purchase, only when your stylist does not offer this upgrade. Traditional application of eyes, lips and cheeks along with concealer are performed with this upgrade. Airbrushing of your entire face is not included in this rate. $80 for this upgrade.
For the client that desires to cover a tattoo, we offer this option as an add-on service. Please email us with a picture and description of the tattoo you wish to cover for us to provide you with a more specific quote. The artist that performs the cover-up will be able to give you the exact quote once they see the tattoo in person. Rate varies starting at $40 up to $80.
If booking a makeup service, it is best if you purchase your own lip color that you know you love to use. If you're unsure of what to use on your lips, let our team curate your best color. They will provide a small touchup of the lip color used in order to allow you to touch-up your lips after eating and drinking throughout the day. There is no charge for this. The touch-up consists of a small disposable lip applicator with your lip color on it.
Only available to those that have opted into a blow-dry service. After the blow-dry, the stylist will lightly curl hair in small specific places throughout the head, to achieve a more defined, wavy look. If client desires the entire head to be curled after the blow-dry, and/ or asks for pinning of the hair, this fee would be $35 - $60, to equal our regular hairstyling rate ($185) plus the $10 wet hair fee. Otherwise, small amount of curling is $30, no pinning included.
All services provided outside of our local area will be subject to a
travel fee. Our local service area is no further than a 13 mile radius
of Alexandria, VA 22314. This fee is determined by Google mapping
directions from 2461 Eisenhower Ave Alexandria, VA 22314 as the starting point (on a
laptop or computer's browser not an app), and your service location as
the destination. The recommended route with the shortest time will be
the mileage used to determine the applicable travel fee at a flat rate
of $3 per mile, per stylist (going and coming already factored in) and
will apply to both trials and event date services. It will
automatically be applied to your total balance for services provided
outside of our local area. The total mileage given by Google Maps will
be the mileage used. For example, if Google says the mileage is 10.1
miles, your total travel fee would be $30.30 per stylist (10.1x 3).
Please contact us for a quote for services outside the DC/MD/VA metro
areas. If your location requires more than a 2 hour commute (one-way),
we will round up the travel fee to include a small bonus for your
artists to travel a total of over 4 hours for your event.
Keep in mind, all stylists travel in from different areas: Baltimore, MD; Gaithersburg, MD; Woodbridge, VA; Laurel, MD, etc. So their commute may be more than the mileage charged. This policy ensures a clear policy so that your team is compensated appropriately.
An early morning fee will apply for bookings that start at 8:00am or
earlier. This fee is outlined below (we book our scheduling in 30
minute increments only). This flat fee serves as a bonus for your stylist(s)
that have made themselves available outside of normal working hours.
If your team of 4 stylists all arrive at 7AM, for example, you only pay $70 that is split between all of them.
A holiday fee will be automatically applied for major holidays if services are booked on an Eve, holiday or a holiday weekend. Our weekends are considered Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This fee will be automatically added to your final invoice, and determined as follows and is a flat fee meaning it is NOT multiplied by the number of stylists you've reserved: (Fee serves as a bonus to your stylist(s) for making themselves available for your event. The lower rate applies for a highly booked date, Higher rate for a lower booked date, ask for details)
Your stylists need to park AT THE SERVICE LOCATION. If the service location requires a parking cost, such as valet, garage or meter parking, you will be responsible for the reimbursement of this cost (no markup), per stylist.
Because of all the tools and supplies that each stylist carries, Valet Parking at the service location is preferred and will be automatically chosen by your artist(s) if you do not specify otherwise on your service contract. We will allow same-location garage parking per your request only, which is usually a lower rate.
Requests to park elsewhere (garage next door, or across the street), but at a walking distance of from the service location, will require an additional $10 walking fee per artist in addition to the parking cost due to the extra time and labor it will take your artist to walk to your location with approximately 30 lbs of gear in tow. This may also cause the artist to arrive later than anticipated.
Requests to use street parking will only be an option if there is no time limit to the street metered parking. If your total service time exceeds the parking time limit, street parking will not be an option, and your artist(s) will default to a self-parking garage at your location, or at a nearby garage, which will be billed to you according to these service terms. If timing is an issue for your artists to find parking, they will default to valet after exhausting all other options, to avoid further delay in starting your services. You assume responsibility for covering the cost of parking and/ or walking fee, per stylist.
We are proud of all our work and may ask to show you off a bit! Your stylists will ask if you are ok with having your picture/ video taken as well as those in your party. If you agree, your images may be shared on your stylist's portfolio, our website and/ or social media accounts. If you'd prefer to not have any pictures taken, please indicate so on your service contract. We can also have you proof any images before they hit the web, if that is your preference. No compensation is offered for use of your images or videos as they are solely used for proof of our work.
We'd also love to feature your event and services with your professional photographer's images. If you're ok with doing so, please list your photographer's information on your intake form.

You have up until 16 days before the service date to cancel services without incurring a service cancellation fee. After 15 day mark, cancellations or subtractions of reserved services will be charged 50% of the services plus applicable fees (ie: Cancelling an attendant for hair and makeup services, would incur a 50% cancellation fee for those services, and 50% of upgrades for that person, as well as any travel fee applied for that person). Cancellations or subtractions of reserved services within 48 hours of the reserved date will be charged 100% of the contracted services. You will receive an applicable credit to use toward any Stylist To Go services (STG Beauty) if you cancel any services and have done so with ample notice. If you book with Stylist To Go (STG Beauty) within 15 days of your event date, the cancellation fee percentages listed here would apply.
In the event of a Stylist To Go stylist succumbing to sickness, accident, act of God or other reasons beyond control, all efforts will be made to find a suitable replacement.
